Clearance and organizing tips for Tenants

09 Dec 2015

Not many situations in life carry the same meaning as moving on to a brand new place. There is a sense of adventure in such a move and you will have a lot to deal with in such a situation, especially if you are doing this for the first time and you need to have some help in figuring out the details. The following tips and guidelines will give you a hand so you can figure out the details together and to make them work. There are quite a few things you will need to do before you can settle in nicely:

  • Working on setting up your home without a plan

A good floor plan can be a serious difference between making your home extremely comfortable and easy to use in the future and being a complete mess. This setup will really help in the long run as it will allow you to carefully place everything wherever it belongs without anything getting in the way. You will also have a much better chance to get clearance done whenever you need it without hitting the proverbial wall in the process.

  • Packing and unpacking your belongings

You will need to be ready with a lot of boxes before you deal with clearance jobs as they will allow you to cover most of your potential needs. You can find such in most places such as retail companies, classifieds websites and more in the process of finding the right supplies. Packing is only the beginning, but unpacking should also be done in a very organized fashion and on a room-by-room basis if possible, as this will make things easier to handle and without it being a serious issue, avoiding the mess you would have to deal with otherwise.

  • Being there during clearance

This is very important if you were working with a professional clearance company before or after you decide to move some items out of your household. Keep track of the inventory you have and make sure you leave nothing behind unless you absolutely need it gone. When you deal with the packing job you should label things for future reference.

  • Keep the pets out of the way

Whenever you need to do some organizing and clearance you will need to keep the pets safe from harm and away from any clearance company representatives. This is something that will really help make things go faster and you won’t have to worry about the pets getting in the way or bumping into them as they work. The same goes for you when you try to organize a room, since the last thing you want is to have your cat sit in the box you’re trying to use for storage purposes.

  • The need for a parking spot

If you can you should always have a nice and free parking spot for any potential heavier pieces of furniture you want gone from your home. Moving them without a problem will mean you have to have a free spot on the parking lot closer to your door so your clearance professionals won’t have to carry things way too far.
