We've caught up with Demi, previously an exemplary tenant of ours, now a fantastic landlord. We recently brought her two-bed, terraced property in HU5 to the market and had a new tenant agreed upon within a week.
It's not often that we get a tenant who goes on to purchase a property to then let it out with their old agent, so we're privileged to share Demi's feedback:
How long were you a tenant with Ultralets?
I was a tenant in Hull with Ultralets for 2 years.
How did you find your experience as a tenant with Ultralets?
Overall, my experience as a tenant was really good. The application and moving-in processes were really straightforward and hassle-free. Any issues were resolved in a timely manner, and the online portal made it easy to log any maintenance problems with the property.
What led you to let out your property?
I wanted to let out my property because I am going to be working abroad, so it made sense to put it up for rent as a long-term investment rather than selling it straight away.
Did you meet with any other agents?
Yes, I chose to get 4 valuations so I could gauge an average rent price for the property. I knew I wanted the property to be managed by the letting agency so I wanted to see the difference in service charge, what they offered and also the overall cost of putting the property on the market and getting a tenant in.
What set Ultralets apart from the other agents you met with?
When I had the valuation from Jake, I felt confident that he was very realistic in his pricing and had a good knowledge base about the area and how popular it would be on the market. I also felt that the letting fee was very reasonable compared to other agents, and they went above and beyond to get it on the market as quickly as possible. I also loved their no-fuss approach. It was simple and straight to the point, but I felt very well-informed throughout. It was really nice that I was able to easily contact Jake if I had any queries.
How has your experience been so far as an Ultralets landlord?
Excellent, from start to finish. They managed to get my property let within a week and it was the most hassle-free process I could have expected. Any certificates I needed they arranged on my behalf unless I knew someone already & as someone new to the process they really made it easy for me. I also really love the online portal so I know that I can keep in the loop of any issues and keep up to date with rent/any charges.
