Please join us in welcoming Jack Newton! 🎉 Jack, an existing Ultralets landlord, comes into the fold as we continue to see very welcome growth in our business operations. We caught up with Jack after his first week to find out a little more about him:

 

I grew up in Beverley before leaving to join British Army when I was 19. During my time in the Army, I served in various locations across both the UK & Germany. I left during COVID and started with Bridgfords in York (Part of the Countrywide) where I worked for 2 years completing viewings, and valuing properties to re-market. 

 

Searching for the next challenge I started studying to become a Mortgage Advisor and completed the last exam in February this year.

 

My first week with Ultralets has been really enjoyable. I have spent some time with each department and have been given a chance to really understand the business. The team have been really helpful and I have settled in nicely. It’s also been really pleasant returning to Beverley after being away so much since 2016 when I joined the Army.

 

I have been a client of the business for a couple of years and have found the service I received to be head and shoulders above the competition. I love the fact that Ultralets is always striving to improve its service; be that by making changes to a process or branching out into a new area. When Spencer gave me that opportunity to join the team - I couldn’t turn it down.

 

Initially, I will be spending my time with the Lettings Team. This gives me a welcome opportunity to get to know our customers, as well as to learn the key systems and processes that make the company what it is. Concurrently, I will be working to bring a new Ultralets service alive - Insurance. 

 

We will be offering a range of insurance products to Landlords/Tenants/Homeowners, starting with general insurance i.e buildings cover before moving on to protection insurance such as life and critical illness cover.

 

We are also looking to incorporate Mortgage Advice in the future as well. But there are more details on those to come!

 

In my spare time, I enjoy travelling with my girlfriend and socialising with friends over a beer. I have also recently taken up Golf, which is occupying rather more of my free time than I first thought.

 

We’re really pleased to have Jack join our ever-growing lettings team. Jack joins Ultralets after working for an agent in York and brings across a wealth of knowledge and experience that the team are looking forward to harnessing. Jack has settled in really well since joining us, and is already having a positive impact on our move-in process alongside working on some really exciting projects in the background.
