Cyber Essentials is a certification scheme backed by the UK government that validates a company's commitment to Cyber Security. It ensures that businesses have implemented essential physical and digital controls to protect themselves against common cyber threats.

 

We've always had a keen eye fixed on the ever-developing digital landscape since we were first established, 15 years ago. Technology has advanced so much since our doors first opened but our commitment to digital security for our clients has always remained. With significant investment in internal hardware and software, we've remained conscious of our duty to ensure a safe digital environment for our clients. We later took further steps to bring our IT support and digital development in-house, introducing our now IT Project Manager, Ollie, into the business.

 

Securing Cyber Essential certification was the next logical step to further cement our position as a digitally secure business with a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of practice throughout the whole organisation.

 

We underwent a rigorous audit and review of our existing security measures. Our team worked diligently to identify any vulnerabilities and implement necessary improvements.

 

This process involved investing in new security controls, updating our policies and procedures, and ensuring that our staff received comprehensive training on cyber security best practices. Through this dedicated effort, we successfully met the stringent requirements of the Cyber Essentials certification scheme, demonstrating our commitment to protecting our clients' data and maintaining a secure digital environment.

 

 

Our IT Project Manager, Ollie, has been the driving force behind this achievement. He has worked hard to ensure our systems, hardware and processes meet the high standards set by Cyber Essentials, and will continue to have oversight to ensure we remain at those high standards.
