Anything we can do to help make life easier for our customers, we do. That’s why from March 1st, we started giving tenants and landlords the option to sign documents electronically.

If you’d prefer to continue to come into the office to sign documents in the traditional method of signing then don’t worry, that option is still available.

What are electronic signatures (e-signatures)?

If you’re not already familiar with them, e-signatures are a legal way we can get consent or approval on electronic documents or forms.

The legal stuff

Rest assured that e-signatures are fully tested, secure, auditable and verifiable. We use Adobe Sign which meets / exceeds very stringent security and legal compliance standards.

What documents can you sign with an e-signature?

From tenancy agreements to terms of business and works agreements, there are a range of documents we provide customers with that can be signed electronically.

You’d receive a PDF of the document over email that you can electronically sign using any device including mobiles, tablets and desktop computers.

Why do we use them? The many benefits include:

- Saving our customers time: you don’t have to come into the office to sign documents, instead you can do so from the comfort of your own home … or wherever you may be!

- Worldwide approval: when we say you can electronically sign documents from anywhere, we mean anywhere. We’ve had landlords sign documents from all over the world including the likes of Australia and Cape Town.

- All e-signatures come with a certificate: this records when the document has been sent, who has signed the document and when it was signed. Having this record is valuable.

- You have more time to absorb information: Rather than you having to speed-read through terms in the office, you can go away, read the document multiple times and make sure you fully understand everything before signing.

- More environmentally friendly: why waste paper when there are other options?
