We're pleased to introduce you to Shannon, the newest addition to the Ultralets family 🏠 Shannon will be joining our Lettings Team, specialising in compliance. Shannon will be working alongside Hannah to ensure all of our managed properties are up to date with all of their compliance documents, which means EICRs (Electrical Installation Condition Reports), EPCs (Energy Performance Certificates) and GSCs (Gas Safety Certificates) are all in safe hands.

 

As our portfolio of properties continues to grow, the volume of compliance dates, documents and appointments grows too, we knew we needed to add additional talent to the team to continue ensuring all of the properties under our wing are up to scratch with all of the latest government regulations.

 

 

After her first week with us, we caught up with Shannon for a quick Q&A:

 

At my previous job, I worked as a receptionist for a manufacturing company. Before that, I was the assistant manager of a countryside pub/restaurant. I love the social aspect of any job and seem to have a bit of a knack for talking to the general public.

 

It has been fab, you’re all so lovely and give a genuine Ultralets family vibe :)

 

As a member of the Compliance Team, my responsibility is to oversee periodic inspections, arrange and finalise reports, and send them to landlords/tenants. I also report any noted maintenance and help ensure compliance is maintained across all of our properties, which would be staying on top of renewal dates of EPCs, EICRs and GSCs. Additionally, I will be arranging exit inspections from the notice receipt to sending off the exit report.

 

I’ve lived in a lot of rented properties and always thought it would be interesting to work in the property market… the office location was an additional bonus being in Beverley.

 

I love to bake and decorate cakes. Otherwise, anything crafty (Painting, sewing etc.) is very much my favourite thing, I’m a very creative person. My family and pets are also very important to me.
